Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any stream from a recognized board or university.
• Special Requirement for Delhi Police: Male candidates who are applying for the Sub-Inspector post in Delhi Police must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License for both Car and Motorcycle during the Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Standard Test (PET/PST) stage.

Age Limit & Relaxation

The general age criteria for applicants is a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 30 years. Category-wise age relaxations apply as follows:

• OBC Candidates: 3 years relaxation
• SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation
• PwBD (General) Candidates: 10 years relaxation
• PwBD (OBC) Candidates: 13 years relaxation
• PwBD (SC/ST) Candidates: 15 years relaxation

Salary

Candidates selected for the Sub-Inspector position will receive a monthly salary in the pay scale of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 along with other admissible allowances.

Selection Process

The recruitment process comprises four successive stages. Candidates must qualify in each stage to proceed further:

1. Paper-I: Computer Based Test (CBT) which serves as a qualifying examination.
2. PET/PST: Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test.
3. Paper-II: Computer Based Examination (Final qualifying round for merit).
4. Document Verification & DME: Thorough verification of candidate documents followed by a Detailed Medical Examination.
