This apprenticeship training is offered for the training year 2026–27 under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). GESCOM has announced a total of 275 apprenticeship vacancies for Engineering Degree and Diploma holders.
Vacancy Distribution
- BE Electrical & Electronics Apprentice – 175 Posts
- Diploma Electrical Apprentice – 100 Posts
This recruitment is being conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the apprenticeship training year 2026–27.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the following educational qualifications:
BE Apprentice
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Degree must be obtained after January 2022
- Qualification should be from a recognized university or institution
Diploma Apprentice
- 3-Year Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Diploma must be completed after January 2022
- Recognized Polytechnic/Institution qualification required
Additional Requirements
- Candidates should know how to read and write Kannada
- Karnataka state candidates will get preference
GESCOM Apprentice Age Limit 2026
The age limit criteria for GESCOM Apprentice Recruitment 2026 are:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age for General Candidates: 40 Years
- Maximum Age for SC/ST Candidates: 45 Years
GESCOM Apprentice Stipend 2026
Selected candidates will receive the following monthly stipend during the apprenticeship period:
- Engineering Degree Holders (BE): ₹9,000/- Per Month
- Diploma Holders: ₹8,000/- Per Month
No additional allowances such as accommodation, transport, or food expenses will be provided.
GESCOM Apprentice Selection Process 2026
The selection process will be purely merit-based.
Selection Method
- Merit list based on qualifying examination marks
- No written exam
- No interview
Candidates with higher marks in BE/Diploma examinations will get preference during selection.
Who is NOT Eligible?
Candidates will not be eligible if they:
- Completed qualification before January 2022
- Already completed apprenticeship training earlier
- Are currently undergoing apprenticeship training
- Are employed in another organization
- Are differently-abled candidates (as per notification)
